Much of the press coverage of treatment of fertility and IVF with acupuncture is positive, although some reports challenge the research findings. My own experience is that results in my clinic vary from positively dramatic to very disappointing, and reflect approximately the more positive research reports in the press.

Acupuncture may help tip the balance in favour of a positive outcome for women undergoing IVF or those having difficult conceiving. I do not believe it is a key in itself, and other factors such as age and a healthly lifestyle on the part of both partners are equally important.
